No change: green. Another in the row of three, 3-story c. 1834 common wall townhouses, #604 Esplanade was owned briefly, 1835-36, by Alonzo Morphy, father of chess whiz Paul Morphy. Its ground floor, as did those of the other two buildings, originally had an entresol level with Gothic arches, thus explaining the five levels that the building actually has today.
