No change: blue. This building is one in the row of eleven 3½-story brick structures, which were constructed c. 1839-40 for the widow of Jean Baptiste Labranche. Eight of the Labranche Row Buildings face St. Peter, one faces Royal and two face Cabildo [Exchange] Alley. Although the structures have detailing in the Greek Revival style (such as the attic windows in frieze of the entablature), the original arched ground floor openings for commercial occupancy, the narrow side passageways to the courtyards and stairways were all continuations of the French building tradition. Also the buildings originally had simple wrought iron balcony railings, most of which have been replaced by cast iron galleries or balconies.
