Gen. Kemper and Leila Williams, the founders of The Historic New Orleans Collection, were committed to preserving the French Quarter's unique structures. Carrying on their preservationist mission, THNOC has continued to restore significant Vieux Carré buildings and maintain them for future generations. In their varied origins and plans, the buildings that house The Collection’s galleries and research center reflect several eras of New Orleans architecture.
