Vieux Carré Commission Evaluation:

No change: green. For many years until 1983, the dramatist Tennessee Williams owned this c. 1835, 2½-story, masonry, side-hall townhouse and stayed there during his frequent visits to New Orleans. The Greek Revival-style building has an attached service ell and a detached carriage house across the rear property line.
