PhotoNOLA in collaboration with The Historic New Orleans Collection presents "Through the Lens: Collecting Photography," a lecture with photography specialist and auctioneer Sarah Krueger. Phillips Auction House is known industry wide for their market leading auctions of classic and contemporary photography. Head of Department of Photography Sarah Krueger will speak about collecting the medium with a regional focus on photographers who have documented the American South. In her presentation she will also discuss how rarity, historical significance, and provenance come into play, as well as the market for Southern photography and comparable works, for collectors of all interests.

About Sarah Krueger
New York-based fine art photography specialist and auctioneer Sarah Krueger is head of department for photographs at Phillips Auction House, where she has been working since 2007. Prior to that she served as an art collection assistant at Deutsch Bank. She holds a M.A. degree in Visual Arts Administration from New York University and a B.A. in Art History from Valparaiso University.
