New Orleans African American Museum, 1418 Governor Nicholls Street
Admission is free. No registration necessary.

To celebrate Black History Month, we are hosting an encore of our NOLA Resistance Workshop at the New Orleans African American Museum. During this informal teacher event, we’ll walk participants through NOLA Resistance, a curriculum based on THNOC’s new oral history project that features the stories of activists who led the local civil rights movement during the 1960s.

This workshop is free and does not require registration. Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet to access the interactive curriculum. We’ll walk participants through our new and easy-to-navigate online lesson plan format, share multimedia resources, and give away flash drives loaded with lots of our great educational material.
