August is here, and that means it’s time for New Orleans Museum Month! This annual reciprocal membership program features nearly two dozen cultural organizations in our city, including The Historic New Orleans Collection.

Here’s how it works: Members of one participating institution enjoy free admission at the other institutions all month long (August 1–31) just by showing a current membership card.

Because THNOC offers free admission to everyone every day, we will be offering members of NOMM participating institutions a 10% discount on all purchases at The Shop at The Collection. In addition, The Shop at The Collection has arranged to host pop-ups with a different local artist each Saturday in August. The full schedule is below:

Each pop-up will take place from 1–4 p.m. inside The Shop at The Collection at 520 Royal Street. Reservations are not required. All visitors and staff are required to wear masks.

Saturday, August 7:  Black Masking Indian Big Chief Gerald Paige of the Great Spirit Warriors

Saturday, August 14: Textile artist Jill Shampine

Saturday, August 21: Stationery and print-makers Statement Goods

Saturday, August 28: Jewelry designer Beatrix Bell and clothier Passion Lilie
