Join author John Magill and photographer Margot Landen at book signing for The Incomparable Magazine Street (River Road Press, 2017) at The Historic New Orleans Collection on Tuesday, Octobner 17, at 6 p.m.

New Orleans’s Magazine Street has undergone remarkable changes over its long history. From an overlooked district of mostly unassuming residences and businesses, it has evolved into one of the country’s most dynamic and attractive business thoroughfares. It is also one of the most important dining and drinking streets in town. Yet even with the transformation the street has seen, the soul of Magazine retains its residential charm.

In The Incomparable Magazine Street, Magill, a former THNOC historian, and photographer Landen trace the history and culture of the road that curves between St. Charles Avenue and the river. They touch on Magazine’s place in the urban growth of the Crescent City and highlight what it has become: an enchanting combination of both elegance and the down-to-earth.

Magill and Landen will discuss the book and be available to sign copies, which will be available at The Shop at The Collection for $45.
