Vieux Carré Commission Evaluation:

Front façade -- brown; remainder -- green : to : entire building -- pink. This 2 ½-story, brick townhouse, which was constructed c. 1836, was inhabited by the Labarré family from the 1830s to the 1870s. The original design had handsome, wrought iron grilles over the attic frieze windows. During the second half of the 19th century, front stairs were added to the second-level entrance, which was covered by a partial cast iron gallery. Today, 20th century construction obscures the façade of this once fine dwelling, now subject to demolition by neglect.
