Vieux Carré Commission Evaluation:

No change: green. This 2½-story brick townhouse, which was constructed in 1849 for Jean Baptiste Durel, combines Creole and American architectural devices. It has an open carriageway, as well as a plastered entrance (leading to a recessed entrance behind granite steps), an enclosed loggia, and an ornate covered cast iron gallery.
