The Oral Heritage of Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes:
An Early Introduction to History (Grades K–3)
As a precursor to the formal study of history, children in grades K–3 explore the history embedded in Mother Goose nursery rhymes—reciting the rhymes, analyzing the messages, dancing to the music, and dramatizing the stories in costume.

Invention Discovery Trunk: Sorting History into Centuries (Grades 3–6)
Students in grades 3–6 select inventions from the Discovery Trunk to learn the effects of creative ideas on the course of history and to convert dates into centuries, thereby becoming comfortable with the historian’s method of sorting dates into hundred-year segments to organize the study of history.
